The firm is led by three partners whose combined experience spans senior litigation practice, regulatory enforcement, and hands-on advocacy. Together, they bring depth across contentious work, capital markets and regulatory compliance, and criminal, civil, and family law.
Rathi Nair and Ganeswary Palaniapan anchor the firm’s leadership with decades of experience at the highest levels of legal practice and regulatory oversight. Their backgrounds include complex litigation, corporate and securities disputes, and senior enforcement roles within key Malaysian regulatory institutions. This is complemented by Nazwa Nur Aina Yunos, who represents the firm’s next generation of advocacy, contributing disciplined litigation support, rigorous legal drafting, and direct client engagement across criminal, civil, and family matters.
As a team, the partners share a common philosophy: legal work should be precise, discreet, and outcome-driven. The firm is known for resolving disputes decisively while safeguarding client reputation, often achieving results without public attention. This balance of senior judgment, regulatory insight, and grounded advocacy allows the firm to advise clients with clarity, confidence, and strategic foresight across every stage of a dispute or investigation.
With more than 25 years of distinguished legal practice, Rathi has built a reputation as a trusted adviser in litigation, corporate, and regulatory matters. Called to the Malaysian Bar in 1999, she has appeared before all levels of the Malaysian courts, representing clients in complex disputes and high-value claims with exceptional skill and strategic foresight.
Her expertise spans securities law, insolvency, corporate and commercial litigation, land and banking disputes, and regulatory compliance. She has successfully acted in precedent-setting cases, including landmark decisions in SOCSO and high-profile corporate disputes, and has represented Malaysian interests abroad, including in the Namibian courts on contested diamond mine ownership.
Rathi’s career reflects broad experience across private practice and corporate advisory, including leadership roles as head of legal and compliance in the corporate sector. This dual perspective strengthens her ability to deliver pragmatic, solutions-oriented counsel to both corporate entities and individuals.
Renowned for her meticulous drafting and sharp negotiation skills, Rathi is committed to providing clients with clear, decisive strategies in even the most challenging disputes. Her approach combines technical legal acumen with practical business insight, ensuring outcomes that protect her clients’ interests while meeting the highest professional standards.
Ganeswary brings more than 20 years of legal and regulatory expertise spanning litigation, capital markets, and corporate compliance. Called to the Malaysian Bar in 2001, she began her career in civil and criminal practice, achieving notable successes including defending habeas corpus applications, securing a landmark ruling permitting EPF contributions to be used for child maintenance, and obtaining custody for a father against statutory presumptions. These cases have since been formally reported and cited in Malaysian law.
Her career advanced into regulatory leadership as Head of Investigations & AML at the Labuan Financial Services Authority, where she established the Investigation & Prosecution Division and designed a risk-based compliance framework aligned with global standards. She later served as Vice President of Investigations at Bursa Malaysia, where her enforcement actions against listed issuers and directors reinforced corporate accountability and strengthened market integrity.
She advises on a broad range of residential and commercial property transactions, including the preparation and review of sale and purchase agreements, conducting comprehensive due diligence, and managing transactions from inception through to completion.
She regularly prepares and reviews financing and loan documentation, liaises with financial institutions, developers, and relevant authorities, and oversees settlements and registrations. Renowned for her regulatory insight, sharp analytical skills, and meticulous discretion, Ganeswary offers clients pragmatic, results-driven strategies that anticipate regulatory scrutiny while safeguarding their commercial interests.
Nazwa represents the firm’s next generation of litigation and advisory strength, with a focused practice in criminal, civil, and family law. Called to the Malaysian Bar in 2023, she has developed hands-on experience in complex litigation support, legal drafting, and client advocacy through her work with the Legal Aid Department (Wilayah Persekutuan Kuala Lumpur).
Her practice involves extensive drafting of pleadings and written submissions, court preparation, and daily client consultations, particularly in family disputes, criminal matters, and enforcement proceedings. She is also actively involved in mitigation advocacy, including prison interviews and sentencing submissions.
She has experience in conveyancing matters. She has assisted in residential property transactions, including the preparation and review of sale and purchase agreements, conducting due diligence, liaising with relevant stakeholders, and supporting settlements.
Nazwa approaches legal work with diligence and attention to detail, and is committed to developing a well-rounded practice while delivering reliable and client-focused service.
Nazwa has demonstrated early impact through her involvement in a reported criminal case where her written submissions contributed to a successful reduction of a murder charge to culpable homicide, resulting in a significantly reduced sentence and the accused’s release. Known for her precision, diligence, and calm courtroom support, she brings a disciplined, research-driven approach to the firm’s litigation practice.
